In an effort to boost engagement with academics and researchers, the UK government has published a portfolio of ARIs across all departments which explicitly request the input of scientific evidence.
These provide a list of research questions that the department is currently examining and provide a door for researchers to highlight their research findings to government. Here you can find links to all departmental ARIs. The Government Office for Science has also produced a website where users can browse topics of interest and find related ARIs.
Researchers can draw on the ARIs to help guide their research areas and questions in the early stages of the research process to ensure their evidence will be policy relevant. The ARIs can also show how your research fits into current policy discussions.
In this ARI Tracker document, CLOSER has identified the questions that have the most potential for input from research using longitudinal population studies.
