With the addition of standardised scales to CLOSER Discovery it is now easier to determine if questions from the CLOSER studies’ questionnaires belong to a standardised scale and identify where these scales are used across the studies and waves of data collection.
Making standardised scales more visible
Also known as summated scales or validated instruments, standardised scales are a group of related questions designed to measure an underlying concept. These concepts span depression, alcohol consumption, anxiety, physical health and more.
This latest enhancement saves researchers valuable time because it’s quicker to determine where scales are used across the CLOSER partner studies and waves of data collection contained in Discovery. Now researchers can easily identify which scales are included and download that study data with the confidence that it includes valid measures of the concepts they’re researching. Take a look to see the range of standardised scales that we have added.
